Poker Sites
- Party
Poker Now a bit more seasoned, PartyPoker is raising in
stature among card rooms. Party is presented by the same people
that brought you CardPlayer Cruises, including Mike Sexton. They
have a big multi-table tournament every year called the Party
Poker Million. "I have played on Party Poker for a few months
and just recently signed up with Poker Stars and as a women player
I am very impressed!" "I think it should be noted on your site
that Partypoker.com does not allow anybody to play "professionally"
according to their terms and conditions. I think this is very
very relevant to the decision of playing there. According to the
terms if they determine you are playing professionally your account
could be closed or even confiscated!!!! " "Party's service is
terrible." "I have nothing but positive raves for how I've been
treated as a customer."
-
Poker Room Poker Room offers tournaments (including multi-table
tournaments) as well as Texas Hold'em, Hold'em, Omaha, Chinese
Poker and 7 Card Stud. In addition to a good links section, players
can beta-test new games with play money, including tournaments.
- Planet
Poker Planet Poker also offers a good selection of games,
although their interface is not very pleasing. Has Mike "the Mad
Genius" Caro seal of approval. Generally good traffic. Recommended.
"Planet were the first to launch an online poker room, but they
don't have nearly the action of some other places though." " You
can find good games at Planet Poker regularly."
- Pacific
Poker Not so much an online card room as a network of
poker rooms, Prima boasts low to no waiting time to start a game.
They have 21 smaller poker rooms that they pull from to make a
full game. So no matter which site you connected from, you will
be able to play across the board. They use a third party company
called micrograming software to run their games which is audited
by PWC for security, but leasing software often means that updates,
improvements and innovations are slow in coming.
- Paradise Poker Billed accurately as the
"World's Premier Online Cardroom", Paradise offers the standard
variety of games, including tournaments 24 hours a day. The most
action is always found at this site, 24 hours a day. Pleasing
game interface with little extras that make things interesting.
Most importantly, if you are concerned about security and credibility;
Paradise posts card shuffling reviews by Pricewaterhouse Coopers
(the world's largest professional services firm) on their site.
Highly recommended. "As I imagine many are at first, I was cautious
about playing poker tournament online. Not now.... Paradise Poker
continues to impress me with their unparalleled service. It's
a pleasure to play poker at Paradise, and accordingly I enjoy
sharing my experience with anyone who will listen on how good
they are." "I have been playing at Paradise Poker for a long time
now and am thrilled to see their recent introduction of even more
poker games. Well done guys!!!" "I have played at other sites,
like PlanetPoker, PartyPoker and UltimateBet - to test the market.
I must compliment Paradise Poker - even though their connections
are slow sometimes, all the other sites are slow too, and sometimes
connections are completely lost ."
